End-zone layout
Keep the side of the bed open and move the work, storage, or guest function to the far end. The tool subtracts bed length and activity-zone depth from the room’s long side. This works well in a long studio, but only if the entry and kitchen circulation do not cut through that end zone.
Neither template assumes that furniture can overlap. A sofa bed still needs its opened footprint, a wardrobe needs its door or drawer depth, and a desk needs room for the chair to move. Draw those temporary operating rectangles, not only the furniture’s closed outline.
How do I turn a template into a measured floor plan?
Measure the clear room length and width at floor level; use the smallest reading if walls are uneven.
